Kubrick , Susan Margaret . Obituary

Susan Margaret Kubrick, 61, of Glenburn Township, passed away peacefully, Tuesday March 31, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Despite her illness, Susan maintained her wonderful sense of humor and always thought of othersí health and happiness above her own. In the end, she was surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert, her four children, Robert Kubrick and wife Kelly of Baltimore, MD, Timothy Kubrick and wife Kristen of Lake Worth, FL, Christopher Kubrick and wife Christina of Wellington, FL, and Sarah Kubrick of Lake Worth, FL; her brother Joseph Manning of San Diego, and her sisters Grace Manning Lopes of Los Angeles, CA, Mary Louise Harkins of FL, and Ruthe Jenkins of San Marcos, CA.

Born on January 28, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Marie and Raymond T. Manning of Dickson City, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Mid Valley High School in 1971 and later married Robert Kubrick on January 13, 1973.

Susan led a life full of achievements: a dedicated mother, a wife, a loyal sister, and an accomplished professional. She earned her BS with Honors from Keystone College in 2009 and her MBA from Misericordia University in 2011.

She will be remembered for many things, but being a wonderful mother and wife is one of her greatest legacies. Dedicated, caring, and responsible, her commitment to her family was unbreakable. Raising four children without the benefit of holidays, Susan didnít just watch her children grow up, but taught them the importance of living well and living for others. With her husband Robert, to whom she was married for 42 years, she was a role model of how a relationship should be built and maintained. She demonstrated this by putting her family before herself every day.

Susan also loved the outdoors. She will be remembered for her time spent strolling through Lackawanna State Park with her favorite dog, Lewey. Whether it was a family trip to the Smoky Mountains or a quick jaunt after a long day at work, Susan enjoyed the balance between modernity and nature.

Susan was also a loyal sister. Even toward the end of her life, she remained close to siblings and never forgot where she came from. Her family would like to thank Dr. Linda Barrasse for her unwavering support and love during Susanís illness, the staff and doctors of Northeast Radiation and Oncology, and Allied Services.

The funeral will be Monday April 6, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Olyphant. Friends may call on Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susanís honor may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter at 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
