Joshua Allen Torres, 30, of Peckville, died March 21.

Born in San Bernardino, Calif., he was the son of Donna Bailey, Peckville, Pa., and Luis Torres, Tega Cay, S.C.

Self-employed as a carpenter, Joshua was also a gifted singer, songwriter and musician in the band, Parable. A kind and spiritual soul who cherished family, Josh adored his son more than anything in this world. His absence leaves all who loved and cared for him brokenhearted. He walked into the Lord's arms last Saturday.

He is survived by son, Gavin Torres; girlfriend, Maggi Mehall; siblings, Anthony, Donald, Librada, Tracy; paternal grandparents, Luis and Aurea Torres; maternal grandmother, Carol Bailey; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Liturgy of the Word at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Snows, Clarks Summit. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Twp.
