Georgiann M. Gavlinski, 72, of Scott Twp., died Sunday evening at the home of her daughter in Dalton. She is survived by her husband, Henry Gavlinski. They had been married 46 years.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late George and Ann Skwish Konecny and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was a teacher at Bishop Hannon High School and later at Valley View High School, prior to retirement.

Surviving is a daughter, Georgette Stancavage, Dalton; a son, Jonathan Gavlinski and wife, Ryan, Kearneysville, WV; grandchildren, Jack Henry and Luke William Stancavage and Harper Marie Gavlinski; a sister, Mary Ellen Scochin, Forest City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son in law, William G. Stancavage.

Per her request there will be no public calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. Entombment will take place at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
