 Stanley K. "Stash" Rutkowski, 63, of Dickson City, died Friday January 23, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He is survived by his wife the former, Debra Chiodo.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Louisa Wright Rutkowski, Dickson City and the late Stanley Rutkowski. He was a member of the Dickson City Primitive Methodist Church and he was educated in St. Anthony’s Parochial School, Throop and he was a 1971 graduate of Mid Valley High School. He had been employed by Thomson and RCA, Dunmore and he retired from Lockheed Martin, Archbald.
Stash was a devoted, loving father, husband, son and brother.
He was married 41years to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Debbie.
He was a practical, hardworking man, well-liked and humorous.
He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, gardening, the outdoors
and he cared deeply for his family. Always helpful, he would do anything for anyone and he was a diehard Steeler fan. He loved to spending time with family and his two beautiful granddaughters.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are two sons, Stanley Rutkowski and wife, Natalie, Bristow, VA and Jason Rutkowski, Clarks Summit; two granddaughters, Sarah and Anna Rutkowski; a sister, Donna Mill and husband, Jeth, Annapolis, MD; a brother, Walter Rutkowski and wife, Jody, Lake Ariel; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Keith Rutkowski.
Friends may call Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. Cremation will follow at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
