Srebro , Robert A. . Obituary


Robert A. Srebro, 59, of Peckville, died Thursday December 4, 2014 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. He is survived by his wife the former Sally DePietro. They had been married 36 years.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Frank and Frances Saja Srebro and he was a member of St. Patrick’s Church at Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant. He was a graduate of Mid Valley High School and he owned and operated Affordable Equipment and Auto Sales. Prior to starting his own business he worked for Clarklift Services and WEA Manufacturing.

He was a hard working individual who was dedicated to his work and family. Bob’s passion was classic and muscle cars. This love of cars carried throughout his entire life. He enjoyed working on them and also attending various car shows with his sons, brothers, and family.

His family would like to thank Dr. Lee Besen, Dr William Heim and his entire staff, Dr. Herbert Zeh and his team at UPMC.

Surviving are two sons, Robert M. Srebro and wife, Erin, Jessup and Ryan Srebro and fiancée, Alicia Mazur, both of Dickson City; two brothers, Frank Srebro and wife, Nancy, Tunkhannock and Ronald Srebro and wife, Ann Elaine, Olyphant; a sister, Mary Ann Pickerill and husband, Robert, Archbald; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church at Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant. Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Scott Twp.
