Theodore F. “Teddy” Parchinski, 87, of Dickson City, died Friday December 16, 2011 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. He is survived by his wife the former Dolores Talalai. They had been married 57 years on February 6, 2011.
Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Rochinski Parchinski and he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School and Dickson City High School class of 1942. He served with the US Army during WW ll and he was a member of American Legion Post 665, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5937 both of Dickson City. He had been employed by L&M Weaving, Muldoon Brothers, and he retired from Trane Corp. after 25 years of service. He was a member of the UA of plumbers and pipe fitters union local 900.
He was a very gentle man and a gentleman.
Surviving are two sons, Ted Parchinski and wife Judy, Clarks Green, Jerome Parchinski, Maine; a daughter, Carol Gilbody and husband Stephen, Clarks Summit; a granddaughter, Laura Emily Gilbody; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Parchinski, a sister, Rose Parchinski, and a brother, Peter Parchinski.
The funeral with military honors conducted by the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St. Dickson City, PA, with mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Scott Twp.
